Hi, I'm Oscar. I'm an Applied ML Scientist based in New York, focusing on Multi-Modal Models and LLM Agents. I'm passionate about applying state of the art ML to real world problems. I also love to write about my learnings and thoughts on ML. My current interests are in Mechanistic Interpretability, Multi-Modal Models.
I studied Mathematical and Computational Science at Stanford University (2018–2022), then pursued a Master’s in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence (2022–2023).
At Stanford, I conducted research with the Medical School on non-intrusive diagnosis using machine learning and CT scans, and collaborated with the Computer Science department on parameter-efficient finetuning methods for large language models. As an undergraduate, I also studied computational linguistics at Oxford for six months, where I conducted research at the University of Oxford’s Lung Cancer and Pleural Translational Research Lab at the Nuffield Medical School.
After graduation, I joined Samsara full-time as an Applied ML Scientist in 2023, where I work with cutting-edge multimodal models and LLM agents.
I'm constantly learning and expanding my skill set, but here are some of the technologies I work with regularly:
